Have a tough clog - not only will baking soda get rid of the clog but it will leave a fresh odor. Pour 1/2 cup salt and 1 cup baking soda down the drain - let it sit overnight. In the morning, pour 2 to 3 cups boiling water down the drain.

To keep garbage disposals clean and fresh, generously sprinkle with baking soda followed by white vinegar - until it bubbles. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with hot water.
